The Missions

The missions and responsibilities of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University are guided by the Strategic Plan of the University Act 2003, Article 7, which designates the university as an institution of higher education for regional development. The university aims to enhance the intellectual capacity of the nation, revitalize the learning process, promote local wisdom, and foster artistic creativity for sustainable and progressive societal development. It participates in the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and the environment, with the objectives of promoting education, advancing high-level academic and professional standards, conducting teaching and research, providing academic services to society, enhancing and transferring technology, preserving and promoting arts and culture, producing and promoting teacher professionalism, aligning with the university’s missions as follows:

  1. Develop curricula aligned with the vision to adapt to changes in various fields of study.
  2. Develop knowledge based on research to innovate work processes and produce graduates.
  3. Serve as a center for academic services and knowledge to elevate the quality of life for local communities.
  4. Conserve, promote, and disseminate Thai arts, culture, and wisdom globally.
  5. Govern the university with ethical principles.

Authority and duties

The university’s authority and responsibilities, as stipulated in the Rajabhat University Act 2003, Article 8, are as follows:

  1. Seek the truth to achieve academic excellence based on local wisdom, Thai wisdom, and global knowledge.
  2. Produce graduates with knowledge and ethics, instilling a sense of Thai identity, love, and loyalty to the local community, while promoting lifelong learning within the community to keep pace with changes. The number and quality of graduates should align with the national graduate production plan.
  3. Foster knowledge, understanding, and pride in the culture of the local community and the nation.
  4. Educate and strengthen community leaders, religious leaders, and local politicians to have democratic ideals, ethics, morality, and development management skills for the benefit of the community and locality as a whole.
  5. Strengthen the professionalism of teachers, produce and develop teachers and education personnel to have quality and appropriate standards for high-level professionalism.
  6. Coordinate cooperation and mutual assistance among the university, community, local government organizations, and other organizations both domestically and internationally for local development.
  7. Study and seek ways to develop appropriate indigenous and modern technologies for the livelihoods and professions of local people, including studying ways to promote the management, maintenance, and sustainable use of natural resources and the environment.
  8. Study, research, promote, and perpetuate projects stemming from the principles of royal initiatives in fulfilling the university’s mission for regional development.
